Scope

WWT operates through a network of Regional Groups operating across England, Scotland and Wales. The Southwest Group operates in the following counties: Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall.

The SW Group is split into regional planning committees all led by volunteers offering Safety Health Awareness Days (SHADS) for smaller construction companies.

75% of all those injured or killed on building sites in the UK, work for companies employing fewer than 15 people. The WWT groups provide a simple means of sharing experience and advice from safety and occupational health professionals. This means these small companies and the self-employed can get relevant health and safety advice from those in the industry at little or no cost.

Joining us

Are you a larger construction company, trade association. College or local authority?

The SW WWT needs people, companies and organisations interested in sharing their knowledge and experience of good practice and improving occupational health and safety in construction.

Is your organisation already an active member of our SW WWT Group?

If not contact wwtswg@gmail.com to find out how you can get involved

Our regional group members are all volunteers and come from all trades, sectors and specialisations across the construction industry spectrum. By joining a WWT regional group you can pass on your own skills; knowledge and experience in managing health and safety in construction to others.
