East Midlands Working Well Together Group

The EMWWT Group committee is made up of:

• Clive Omerod, Co-Chair 
• TBC, Co-Vice Chair
• Gary Shout, Treasurer
• Emma Wilkinson, Co-Secretary

EMWWT Group collaborate with other health and safety groups within the region, namely Action for Construction (AfC), Midlands Construction Safety Association (MCSA) and IOSH.

EMWWT Group meet four times a year and aim to deliver a range of health and safety events each year, mainly focussing on the needs of small and medium contractors, including those who are about to enter the industry, where members can share their knowledge / guidance and give contractors and apprentices the opportunity to find out about the latest developments in improving health and safety - it’s help from the industry, for the industry.

The aim of the events are to:

• Improve awareness of high-risk activities and health issues;
• Demonstrate practical measures to control risks; and
• Promote continuous improvement in health and safety performance.

In 2023 EMWWT Group will continue their delivery of support to a variety of organisations through events such as Safety and Health Awareness Days (SHADs) and other events which are specifically focused and aligned to the current campaigns of the HSE. The Group is currently considering its options for planning and delivery of two SHADs within 2023. Further details relating to the specifics of the event will be published in due course.
