WWT Scotland
The Working Well Together (WWT) Campaign is an industry led initiative, supported by HSE, and aims to improve health and safety in the construction industry. WWT Scotland is a working group from Site Safe Scotland and made up of representatives from approximately 20 Scotland wide construction and civil engineering companies, local government, safety groups, training organisations, etc.
Group name: WWT Scotland
Governance
- David Charnock HSE - Chair
- Ailsa Halcrow - Secretary
Scope
WWT Scotland meet four times a year and aim to deliver a range of health and safety events each year, mainly focussing on the needs of small and medium contractors, including those who are about to enter the industry, where members can share their knowledge and give contractors and apprentices the opportunity to find out about the latest developments in improving health and safety – it’s help from the industry, for the industry. The aim of the events are to:
- Improve awareness of high risk activities and health issues.
- Demonstrate practical measures to control risks.
- Promote continuous improvement in health and safety performance.
Current Projects
In 2023 WWT Scotland aim to deliver 3-4 Safety and Health Awareness Days, with the first being a Safe Groundworks event in March delivered in partnership with CECA Scotland and Scottish Water at Sibbalds Training in Armadale.
